Brampton to help with community service project
The holidays can be a really festive time, and those who lend a hand with a Brampton area community service project will make sure it is bright for one and all.
The Ontario Produce Marketing Association (OPMA) provides its membership with a range of support and also serves as an advocate. It will once again be offering the public a chance to do a good turn for their neighbours in need and have fun while doing so.
The OPMA has made plans to hold its Christmas Foodshare Packing event, and all assistance will be welcome. The project will begin in the morning and run into the early afternoon, and to thank the helpers for their hard work, snacks, coffee and lunch will be served to the group. As this is a very busy time of the year, the organizers appreciate the volunteers taking the time to get involved. The boxes of food will be distributed to those facing financial hardship in the Greater Toronto Area.
Community service groups can provide a variety of support, and a poster printing company can be called upon to help get the word out to those who may benefit.
The OPMA has scheduled its 2022 Christmas Foodshare Packing Day for December 17th. It will begin bright and early at 8:00 am at The Ontario Food Terminal, loading stalls E21 – 23.
