Brampton to celebrate business excellence

The Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards are set to take place early in May.

The annual celebration, which is presented by the Brampton Board of Trade and the City of Brampton, pays tribute to exemplary business leaders in the community.

This year, the event’s keynote speaker will be David Chilton, star of TV’s Dragon's Den and author of The Wealthy Barber. Awards will be given out for eight categories, including Manufacturing, Business Services, Young Entrepreneur, Award of Distinction and Community and Business Person of the Year. No doubt, each winner will have the chance to speak briefly to the audience when they are presented with their award.

The event will be an excellent networking opportunity for businesspersons in the Brampton area. It's very likely that those who are planning to attend the awards presentation and dinner will be arranging for business card printing in advance.

They will want to ensure that their contact information is current and that they have enough cards to exchange with their peers. There will be plenty of chances during the evening to talk about business and to exchange cards.

Sponsorships of the event are also available; these range from $1,000 to $5,000. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and in the advertising materials.

The Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards will take place at Pearson Convention Centre on May 2 from 6:00 - 9:30pm. Tickets are $120 each or $800 for eight; the recommended dress code is business formal. For more information, call the Brampton Board of Trade at 905-451-1122.
