Toastmasters is an international organization that provided training and motivation for those who are required to occasionally give speeches or routinely speak to large groups. Their mission is to:

"provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual members has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills."

The membership fees for the Brampton Speakeasy Toastmasters include a one-time payment of $35 which makes you a member of Toastmasters International. This fee includes instruction manuals, a certificate of membership, a lapel pin and a magazine subscription. In addition, there is a monthly fee of $12.50. The Brampton Speakeasy Toastmasters are mostly female, are on an average between 35 and 49 and are well-educated.

If you plan to run a successful business, you will be expected to speak in public from time to time whether it is just a meeting with your employees or at a convention. Many people are afraid of public speaking and groups such as the Toastmasters provide a safe place to practice, a mutually supportive atmosphere and provide you with training that will make your speeches more effective.
