Brampton residents getting ready for Seedy Saturday

The Seedy Saturday and Garden Show event is taking place soon in Brampton. It is a presentation of the City of Brampton and the Brampton Horticultural Society and is expected to be an annual event.

Seedy Saturday will give people the opportunity to swap, buy and share seeds for plants, vegetables and fruits. The first 100 visitors to the show will receive a free plant. In addition, the Garden Show will feature children's activities, giveaways, seminars and the Seedy Cafe.

Seminars will involve experts such as master gardener Dianne Pooke who will be speaking on the topic of ‘Starting Seeds’, Melanie Kramer from Credit Valley Conservation who will be discussing ‘Nature Plant Gardening’, Gino Piscelli of the Region of Peel who will be talking about ‘Fusion Landscaping’, and Kate Green from USC who will discuss ‘Seed Saving Basics’.

The event sounds like it will be a definite help to those who are new to gardening or who would like to become more adept.

Organizers have no doubt been working with Brampton printing companies to design and Print Flyers to advertise this event. Flyers are amongst the most effective Forms of marketing for such shows due to the fact that they can reach a large number of people in a short period of time.

Seedy Saturday and Garden Show will take place at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre on March 9 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Admission is free. Those who require more information can call 905-457-0295.
