Brampton prepares for Diwali festivities

This fall, the Brampton community is invited to celebrate the victory of light over darkness at the City of Brampton's Diwali Mela festival at Sesquicentennial Park.

Intended both for active Hindus as well as those wanting to experience Diwali for the first time and learn a bit more about the festival of lights, there are plenty of celebrations planned this year within Brampton.

On November 1st, the City of Brampton welcomes the local community to attend its free Diwali Mela event. Here, attendees are encouraged to explore the local vendors and immerse themselves in the vibrant colours and rongoli decorations. Families will also have an opportunity to enjoy free, family-friendly activities at the event, as well as live performances. Attendees are encouraged to show off their dancing skills to the live music that is distinctive to Navratri, Karwa Chauth, and Diwali.

Event planners often build their celebrations around a central theme that can be carried throughout the event decor and printed materials. For those who are planning on having booths at these events, having on-theme brochure printing materials from can make a vendor stand out and become more in-tune with the event they are exhibiting at.

For those planning to attend the event, Sesquicentennial Park is located at 911333 Bramalea Rd, Brampton, and the City of Brampton's Diwali Mela will occur at 4pm on Friday, November 1.
