A member of a Brampton-based band found out that one of his friends needed assistance in paying for an expensive surgical procedure to help his son to walk, and decided to use his talents to lend a helping hand.
William Bennett plays in a band named ‘The Red Boy’, and he put together a fundraiser to try and collect $5,000 to put towards the $100,000 price tag for surgery that could help his friend’s son.
Called ‘Logan’s Hope’, the event featured seven different bands playing a wide variety of styles of rock music, and was held at Spot One. The tickets were $15.00 each.
Bennett’s friend’s son is Logan McNab, and he is 10 years old. Logan suffers from cerebral palsy and a brain injury that occurred when he was born. This has caused him to have extreme muscle stiffness and atrophy in the muscles of his limbs, especially those in his legs. There is a surgical procedure in the US that can help, but since OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) considers it to be experimental, it isn’t covered under the provincial health care plan.
A flyer printing company can help to make a fundraising like this a success. Professionals can Print not only Flyers, but also tickets, souvenir programs, and other promotional materials that can help to get the word out to the public, and why their help in meeting the fundraising goal would be very much appreciated.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
