Physical activity and good mental health go hand in hand, and at the Four Corners Library Branch in Brampton, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) will be providing insight into this connection.
The library and CMHA will be partnering to present the “Dance and Unwind for your Mental Health” workshop, which will explore how movement and music can be helpful mental wellness tools. All fitness levels may benefit from taking part, and it will run for one hour.
The session’s facilitator will introduce the group to a low-impact routine that has been designed to help them feel energized and connected to their positive emotions. They will be encouraged to discover their own resilience, and mindfulness will be stressed. While all are welcome, they will need to sign up in advance if they wish to participate.
Encouraging people to get up and get moving can help lead to both good physical and mental health. A class like this provides them with a chance to learn how to do so. A poster printing company will have a variety of ways to help spread the word of such classes to the public.
The Four Corners branch of the library has made plans to offer its Dance and Unwind for your Mental Health session on September 21st. It will begin at 11:00 am in the facility’s auditorium.
