Brampton fundraiser to benefit local charities

Brampton golfers who have been hoping to hit the links may find that an upcoming fundraiser will be just the event they have been looking for.

Two different Ontario charities will benefit from the proceeds of the Canadian Computer Charity Golf Classic. Both The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and Easter Seals Ontario will receive a portion of the proceeds, and the goal is for everyone to have a great time.

The activity, which will be held at Lion Head Golf Course, will open with registration, breakfast and access to the driving range so everyone can get in some practice ahead of time. There will be some opening remarks before the shotgun start, and once all the golfers have played through, they can gather for a cocktail mixer. This will be followed by dinner and an awards presentation, and a live auction is also in the works. Tickets for player foursomes can be purchased by email.

Golf fundraisers tend to offer lots of opportunities for the business world to get involved in the local community. They can donate Corporate Gifts for an auction or prize draw, sponsor a hole or even serve as a presenting supporter for such an occasion.

The Canadian Computer Charity Golf Classic will open at 7:00 am. Additional details about its schedule, as well as information for potential sponsors, can be found on its website.
