Brampton day to be jam-packed with festivities
There is plenty of fun to be had this weekend in downtown, as ‘Brampton Day’ swings by this Saturday, September 22.
The event-packed day will start off at 7:00 am with a Farmers’ Market on Wellington Street. A free BBQ will also take place on Wellington Street from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. There will be a Kids’ Zone at Gage Park which will feature face painting, a climbing wall, games, train rides, and kettle corn to eat. With a cake cutting at Garden Square at 11:50 AM and cupcakes given out to anyone who wants one, sweet treats are also there to delight sweet-toothed attendees.
In the afternoon, ‘King of Pop: the Michael Jackson Experience’ will take place at the Rose Theatre, beginning at 1:00 pm. The day will also feature human bowling, a community showcase, city services information, and the ‘Good Neighbours, Great Neighbourhoods’ awards will be given out at 12:00 pm in Garden Square.
Brampton printing companies will no doubt be helping both the community showcase and the city services information booth prepare for Brampton Day. Brochure printers will be able to provide information in an accessible format, if required.
Brampton Day promises to be a great family-friendly way to celebrate the city and there is sure to be at least one activity that will appeal to each member of the family. Those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food items, but admission to the event is free. For more information, call 905-874-3601.
