The Women of Achievement awards dinner honors individual women for their contributions to the community in many fields. There are seven categories in which women can be nominated, with fields spanning everything from arts and entertainment to community service.
Women are nominated by the public and winners are decided upon by a jury of five. Within each category, the three nominees chosen from all categories who receive the highest scores from the judges will be honored at the dinner. A Young Woman of Achievement award is also given out to a woman between the ages of 18 and 25.
The evening consists of cocktails, introductions of all the nominees, and dinner. It will be an excellent networking opportunity for women to meet their business peers or those who have similar interests in helping the community. They will also probably be interested in finding out exactly what these women did to stand out from the rest. No doubt many women will be contacting Brampton printing companies before hand to place a new business card printing order. They will want to ensure that their contact information is current and that they have enough cards.
The 2012 awards dinner will take place at the Pearson Convention Centre on November 15 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Tickets are $90.
