During the past year, Brampton area outdoor enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies have had a new way to get their fill of adventure, and there are no Signs of it coming to an end. Speaking recently to the media, Treetop Trekking has said that its first year was a success.
Though its first 12 months in operation were marked by a harsh winter and several ice storms, the company has noted that the period was an all-round win – and now it has every reason to believe that the future will continue to be bright.
Located in the Heart Lake Conservation area in the north end of Brampton, 14,000 climbers made good use of the park. It features eight courses, 10 zip lines and 75 aerial games. The highlight of the park is the two long zip lines that cross each other right above the lake.
Treetop Trekking also operates parks in Barrie, Huntsville, and Ganaraska, as well as several in Quebec, but this location is its busiest. For those in the GTA, it is the easiest to get to and can be reached in less than an hour.
It is hoped that the numbers of those who make use of the site will continue to grow, and that it will attract schools and corporate users seeking a new way to build morale while having a great time.
