Annual food event returns to Brampton
The 10th annual Rotary Rib 'n' Roll is taking place in Brampton for three days this May. It is a presentation of the Brampton Rotary Club and is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors. A portion of proceeds will go to benefit Tour for Kids.
There will be plenty to do at the event. Five teams of "ribbers" will be on hand to provide mouth-watering barbecued food. Further, there will be lots of children's activities to choose from, and musical acts will be taking to the stage. Among the bands slated to appear over the three days are the Dave Murphy Band, Fleetwood Nicks, and the Uptown Express. In addition, Brampton's Got Talent will showcase local performers.
Local businesses that wish to earn more money for Tour for Kids can take part in the Rob van Kessel Memorial Cup rollerblade race. Teams raise pledges and also compete to win the cup while they race around the park for one hour.
This popular event is advertised widely in the Brampton area. Local print companies are often asked to help by providing products such as flyers and posters to help spread the word in the community.
The Rotary Rib 'n' Roll will be held at Gage Park from May 23 - 25. Admission is free but donations will be greatly appreciated. To learn more about this event, visit the official website.
