The Halifax Chamber of Commerce serves the local business and not for profit community, and it has organized an event for the Burnside area that will help those who are new to the group to make the most of their membership.
Mid-March will see the organization run a session of its “Maximize Your Membership” , and it will be full of information and tips that may be helpful to its target audience. It will be offered in person, and will take place during the lunch hour.
The event, which will be facilitated by the Chamber's Member Services Specialist Julia LeVernois, will share ideas for leveraging a chamber membership that may save money, make helpful connections and increase public exposure. Information about the Chamber’s Affinity Partners program as well as its Business Voice publication will be on the agenda, and a discussion of the events planned for the upcoming year is also in the works. Everyone will have the chance to learn about its policy and advocacy initiatives, and they can also meet other newcomers to the group.
Many Chambers of Commerce offer new members an opportunity to hit the ground running by hosting information sessions and other activities. A brochure printing company can prepare packets of materials to distribute during an activity.
This opportunity for the Chamber’s newest membership to get the inside scoop on the benefit available to them is scheduled for March 11th. It will be offered at 32 Akerley Blvd in Dartmouth.
