Summer will soon be in full swing, and in Burnside, that means it's almost time for a pop-up activity that may attract a lot of attention.
The “New to You” flea market will be taking over the gym and upstairs classrooms of the North Woodside Community Centre. Its schedule runs for four hours, and it will be filled with fun for the whole family.
Those who drop by will be able to browse and buy their way along through at least 50 market tables, and it is set to be a boon for bargain hunters. After they have finished shopping, they can treat themselves to a BBQ lunch, and a scavenger hunt and face painting are both in the works as well. Admission will be $1.00, and anyone 12 and under may enter for free. The fee to book a seller table is $10.00 each.
