Granville Island will once again be transformed into a literary mecca, with the Vancouver Writer Festival returning in October.
The Writers Fest is a chance for attendees to listen to a vast array of writers and be part of literary discussions and dialogues. The festival is a popular event because of its inclusivity and diversity of authors it brings to the stage. Throughout the week-long festival, attendees will get a chance to hear from a plethora of different voices and experiences. School groups are also encouraged to attend, with certain events geared toward the younger demographic.
Some of the event highlights include the poetry slam, where poets read out their poetry accompanied by a live band, and the Sunday brunch, where attendees can feast on fresh croissants and scones while sipping on mimosas and listening to several writers give readings of their latest novels.
During events, attendees will have several opportunities to buy signed Copies of Books and have a chance to purchase a plethora of novels on site.
This festival would not be possible without donors and sponsors. Poster printing is often used for festivals like this one, highlighting to the general public not only key information, but also the organizations that have helped bring together a community event.
