A workshop that will show how easy it can be to enjoy fresh vegetables all year round is in the works for Vancouver.
VanDusen Botanical Garden offers a variety of learning opportunities, and one of these will be its “Growing Your Own Microgreens” session. It will explore the differences between baby greens, microgreens and sprouts, and Dr. Yael Stav will facilitate the event. As it will be hosted online, the learners will be able to participate safely.
The participants will discover methods for growing their own sprouts and greens, and tips will be shared so they can grow a bumper crop. Dr. Stav will introduce different growing systems and how they are used, and he will also explore products that can make growing vegetables easier. He will provide a live demonstration of how to plant a microgreens tray, and the scheduled run time for the workshop will be one and a half hours.
Hosting this sort of function is one way an organization can help to build a healthier community. If the registrants provide their Mailing address, the organizers will be able to send them materials crafted by a printing services company so they can keep on adding to their knowledge once it is over.
This introduction to the art and science of growing microgreens has been scheduled for July 3rd. Its online listing includes a registration link, as well as more details.
