Vancouver workshop to explore small space gardening

Those who live in an apartment, condo or small dwelling may think they cannot grow vegetables at home, but an upcoming event will show this could not be further from the truth.

The practice of growing food in Boxes, grow Bags and other containers will be the focus of a learning opportunity hosted by Village Vancouver Westside Neighbourhood Food Network. As it will take place in person, the participants will be asked to follow COVID prevention practices. Registration must be completed in advance and drop ins will not be permitted.

The session will introduce techniques that can lead to success in container gardening, and plant selection and care are both on the agenda. It will help the attendees make the most of the space available to them, and the tips can even be used to grow vegetables on a sunny windowsill. The registrants are asked to meet up at the Aberthau Community Permaculture and Eco Art Garden on NW Marine Drive at the start of the activity.

As a function like this tends to pack a lot of learning into a short time frame, the participants may appreciate receiving additional educational materials. A brochure printing company will be able to prepare such items.

The Container and Windowsill Gardening workshop will be hosted on May 27th, and it will start at 6:30pm.
