Vancouver tenants to benefit from online learning opportunity

Tenants of Vancouver have many rights that can protect them, and these rights, along with their corresponding responsibilities, will be the focus of a virtual workshop being offered by North Shore Community Resources.

The group will be hosting this free event, in which everyone is welcome to participate. Registration is required, and once signed up, registrants will receive a link that will allow them to join in the discussion.

During the session, participants will get the inside scoop on a variety of topics, including security deposits, making repairs, evictions and legal versus illegal entry. It will be presented in English, and the organizers noted that the event is being made possible through support from the NSCR Community Legal Service program.

Everyone who would like to take part will need to have a smartphone or computer that has a microphone or a pair of headphones. The links to join will be distributed on the day of the activity. Workshops like this are often included in community guides and other local publications, and these can be crafted by Print shops for distribution to area households.

North Shore Community Resources has scheduled this learning opportunity for the afternoon of November 25th. More details, as well as a link to sign up for the activity, can all be found on the City of North Vancouver website.
