Vancouver schedules community swap

Vancouver is set to “get its swap on” at an event that will help to keep items that still have life left in them out of area landfills.

The city has set the date for a Free Swap, and there are three ways community members can get involved. Those who are interested can choose to simply drop off items for donation, or they may decide to choose some to take home too. If they do not have anything to donate, members of the public are still welcome to choose something to take home for free.

Any donations should be clean and in good working order, and it been requested that the items be small enough to fit into a reusable grocery shopping bag. Everyone can bring up to two items to exchange, which will be checked in upon entry by the organizers, but they can take as many items home as they wish. Attendees will be asked to check out before they leave.

A flyer printing company can help to spread the word about an event like this.

Vancouver’s Riley Park will be the venue for its Free Swap, which will run from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on June 22nd. Its event listing provides more details, including what items will and will not be accepted. The activity is being hosted alongside the Pop-up Recycling event, also taking place in the park.
