Vancouver organizers outing for birders

Vancouver is home to lots of birdlife, and an upcoming guided walk will pay a visit to these creatures in their natural habitat.

Guide Jerry Gordon will be leading a two-hour-long outing at the Lost Lagoon at Stanley Park, and it will take place during the morning hours. Comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing, including a hat, are highly recommended, and the activity will be held rain or shine.

The guided walk will be on the lookout for an assortment of species that remain in the area during the winter months, and field guides and binoculars will make it easier to spot and identify any birds seen. With some luck, everyone will be able to add a new “lifer” to their list, and advanced registration is not needed. Those who are interested are asked to meet at the meetup point by 10:00 am, and while the group goes along, Gordon will share his knowledge.

A nature-based activity may include making and recording observations. A printing services company can prepare checklists, custom Journals and other materials for an event like this.

This walk to see the birds that call Lost Lagoon home will be held on December 7th at 10:00 am. More details, including the exact coordinates of the meet up point can be found on the Wild Birds Unlimited website.
