It's been said that there's no use offering someone a seat at the table if they can’t even get into the building, and a Vancouver event will celebrate those companies that have gone above and beyond when it comes to inclusion.
B.C. employers are leading the way when it comes to making sure disabled people have the opportunity to show what they can achieve when given the chance. The Untapped Awards, which are presented by the Open Door Group, along with CAN WiN and Accessible Employers, will recognize their efforts, and tickets start at $283.50.
The luncheon and awards ceremony will see several presenters take to the stage, and there is a lineup of speakers as well. Networking will be the order of the day, and the award recipients will be announced. There will be several services available to help make the event accessible to those with a disability, and the organizers can be contacted with requests at info@opendoorgroup.org.
Early bird tickets for the celebration are $270 plus fees and taxes, and after August 30th, the price will go up. Stationery printers can prepare event programs as well as award certificates, Letterheads, requests for donations and thank you letters to those who made a contribution.
The 2024 Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards will be held on September 19th. The function is slated for PARQ Vancouver.
