Vancouver library to screen family-friendly movies

The chilly days of winter can be a good time to curl up with a good movie, and a branch of the Vancouver public library system has organized an activity that will offer this experience.

The Renfew branch will be screening a compilation of short films that have nature and family themes, and all ages may participate. It may be of special interest to school-age kids, and the run time for the activity is approximately 50 minutes.

The audience will be treated to a series of nine videos crafted by Canadian makers, and seating will be first come, first served. Those who require accommodations due to a disability have been requested to contact the planners via email to discuss this in advance. Parents and caregivers are asked to remain with their child, and no admission fee is being charged.

Libraries often serve as community hubs, offering an assortment of learning opportunities and other activities to members of the public. A poster printing company will be happy to lend a hand advertising its events by preparing attention-grabbing marketing materials.

The Renfrew branch of the Vancouver public library system will be hosting its ‘Family Movie: NFB Short Films: Nature & Family’ session on Friday, February 2nd. The curtain will go up at 3:30 pm, and more details can be found on its listing on the Vancouver Public Library site.
