Many Canadian veterans shoulder a heavy burden, and a Vancouver fundraiser will support a local organization that helps end homelessness for former military members.
The activity will raise funds for Whole Way House, and as Chard Development has offered a matching fund, the organizers are hoping the evening will be a sellout. Belgard Kitchen will be the venue for the event. Tickets to attend are $200 each, or $1,100 for a table of six.
The function will get into full swing with a welcome reception with drinks and canapes, and it will then be time for the attendees to take their seats at the long table for the three-course, family-style dinner. A wine pairing will be poured, and everyone can bid on the Corporate Gifts that have been donated to the auction. The guests at the soiree will be treated to the tunes of crooner Billy Bennett and the Soft Sounds of Sinatra, and a raffle draw is in the works as well.
A fundraising goal of $150,000 has been set, and the organizers hope to reach and even surpass that amount. They have thanked Belgard Kitchen for its generosity in serving as its Platinum Sponsor.
The Whole Way House Remembrance Day Fundraiser will be opening at 6:00 pm on November 6th. It will be hosted at 55 Dunlevy Avenue.
