It has been said that every dog has its day, but this August, it will be the city’s felines that get a day in the sun.
Meowfest 2023 will be an activity that will combine fun with fundraising, and the proceeds from the day will be passed along to local not-for-profits in the companion animal welfare arena. The activity first took place in 2018, and since then, it has raised more than $64,000.
The day will be filled with activities, and there will be some famous cats on site. The crowd can get some photo ops, meet their owners and learn more about them. Presentations will be taking place on the main stage, and the two-legged attendees will be able to visit the refreshment area so they can purchase a bite to eat along with some beer, wine or another beverage.
Along with the rest of the fun, the function will boast a vendor market, and the adoption corner will introduce them to some kitties in need of a loving home. Those who opt for an early bird ticket or choose a VIP pass have been offered an opportunity to receive a T-shirt that will be printed with a specially prepared graphic design.
