A bowl of freshly made chowder can be perfect for a chilly fall day, and a selection of Vancouver chefs will be putting their skills to the test in a competition that will show off their soup making talents.
The annual Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown is set to make its return, and 12 chefs have signed up. They will each showcase their own favourite chowder recipe, and these will all put Ocean Wise Recommended Seafood front and centre.
This competition, which will promote the importance of sustainability, will welcome those who are age 19 and up, and each chowder will be paired with a specially selected craft beer. Ticketholders can sample as many of them as they wish, and they will then be invited to cast their vote for their top pick in the People's Choice category.
This activity will also take place in Toronto in late October. Themed decorations for an event, as well as banner printing and Graphic Design Services, will be available to event planners at local Print shops.
The 2023 Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown will see Vancouver chefs go head to head in culinary competition on Thursday, October 12. General admission tickets are $81.21, which includes any applicable fees and taxes. Its doors will open at 7:00 pm, and it will be held at 6163 University Boulevard.
