Many people admire the beauty of stained glass, and a Vancouver class will be teaching the basics of crafting this sort of project.
“Intro to Stained Glass” will be a beginner level workshop, and the students will be taught the copper foil method. They will each get hands-on experience, and when the class is over, they will go home with their very own suncatcher.
The learners will gain experience in cutting glass, as well as in using a glass grinder and soldering gun. All the materials that will be used are included in the registration fee, and there are spaces for up to four learners on each workshop. Non-medical masks are required to attend, and as the group will be working with lead, this activity is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant.
While the students will be able to choose from one of 12 patterns, anyone who would like to craft a different piece is asked to submit it to the instructor before the session. A company that prepares customized Letterheads can provide registration Forms and waivers for this type of workshop.
The registration fee for the Intro to Stained Glass class is $131.25, and it will be hosted at MakerLabs. It will be facilitated by Awesome Sauce Designs, and it will be running on weekends throughout November. The final session will begin at 10:00am on December 13th.
