Helping hands sought for Vancouver clean-up project

It will soon be all hands on deck for a day of environmental stewardship in Vancouver.

Vancouver’s Kitsilano Beach will soon be getting some love and care thanks to the efforts of those who take part in the Reeve & Fairware 2024 Shoreline Cleanup. Jointly organised by Reeve Consulting and Fairware Promotional Products, it is part of the organizations’ to make a positive impact in the community.

The cleanup will be a two-hour-long event, and while it is free to get involved, a suggested donation of $10.00 would be most appreciated. All donations will be given to Oceanwise.

Those who take part in the cleanup will be removing litter and other debris from the beach, and while they work, they will be able to meet and make friends with like-minded people who also care about the environment. Non-alcoholic drinks and food will be provided, and as the session is scheduled for the evening, the participants will have the chance to take in the sunset before they head for home.

The Reeve & Fairware 2024 Shoreline Cleanup will hit Vancouver’s Kitsilano Beach at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 4th. It will conclude at 7:30 pm. The meetup point for the attendees will be in front of the beach’s boathouse. Further details can be found on the event’s Eventbrite listing.
