Odin Gallery Opens to Public in BC

Printers and arts enthusiasts interested in exploring new artwork should head out to Silver Star Mountain June 24-June 26 for the Odin Gallery’s annual summer exhibition opening. The annual gallery exhibit will feature the artwork of 27 Canadian artists, including two new talents. The event is expected to attract art lovers from New Westminster to Vancouver, and should draw in some people interested in using replicated art in poster printings.

Artwork from artists hailing from Kelowna, Vancouver Island and Okanagan will be on hand to showcase a variety of styles, shapes, colours and art Forms. This year will also feature two new Canadian emerging artists. Themes and work presented range from sculpted pieces, to ceramics and portraits and acrylics and oils about a whole range of subjects. Refreshments as well as the artists themselves will be on hand from Thursday to Sunday to celebrate the new art pieces along with the general public. The Odin Gallery, at Silver Star Mountain, will remain open until the end of summer.

Replicas of famous artwork are often the subject of poster printings and are reproduced with permission en masse. Printers who use art forms as part of poster printings may be interested in speaking to artists during gallery exhibit about how some featured work can be replicated in advertising purposes. The use of local art prints, such as many of those featured at Odin Gallery, can provide great local exposure to emerging artists, and be effectively used in poster campaigns for local marketing purposes.
