The free event will including tastings of craft sodas provided by Heartberry Soda and other local creators. Vendors will also be offering mocktails, non-alcoholic beer and food, with visitors able to bring home bottles or cases if something pleases their taste buds. Sellers at festivals like this often offer special deals or Promotional Products to win over new customers.
There will also be live music by area artists and family-friendly games and activities. The festival is hosted by the Sapperton Business Collective in association with the City of New Westminster, with the goal of bringing shoppers and community members to the Sapperton neighbourhood. Sofa Fest premiered last year as part of New West’s Culture Days events, billing itself as the first ever event of its kind. Vancouver Page said of the event:
“The Soda Fest 2025 is a refreshing addition to Metro Vancouver’s festival scene. Whether you’re a soda enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking for a fun family outing, this first-ever Soda Fest offers a unique, tasty way to spend your Sunday afternoon.”
The 2026 edition of The Soda Fest will take place on the afternoon of September 13 at Sapperton Park and Field in New Westminster. Admission will be free for all.
