The family-oriented Parade will include over 100 entrants, ranging from floats and marching bands to mascots and performance artists. Displays will represent local community organizations, schools, and businesses. Advertising encourages people from throughout the community to take part in the parade:
“Whether you're a marching band, a small business with a brightly decorated vehicle and costumed staff, or even a community club that knows how to whoop it up in a fun marching formation, we want you to join us!”
The parade will conclude at the Hyack Festival in the Park in front of New Westminster City Hall. There will be food trucks and vendors offering international tastes, anda Kids’ Zone for visiting families. The event will present different cultures through interactive exhibits, including a City Works Exhibit, and live performances on a stage throughout the afternoon.
The festival area will also include a marketplace with over 60 vendors and exhibitors representing New West area businesses. Businesses at markets like this often offer promotional items or Business Cards to help better connect with new customers. There will be a free photo booth and “pet zone” nearby.
The 2026 Hyack Multicultural Parade will take place in uptown New Westminster on May 23, followed by the Festival in the Park at Tipperary Park.
