New Westminster market plays host to special antique market

Collectors and antique aficionados from New Westminster and the surrounding area recently had a chance to enjoy browsing through the type of items they love.

For the second year in a row, The Curious Flea held the first of its monthly markets. There was a wide range of vintage and antiques items for sale, as well as ones that had been repurposed into something new. There were also artisans on hand who had made unique creations of their own using upcycled materials. Whether someone just enjoyed old items or was a serious collector, there was plenty to catch their eye.

For those who were curious about the origin and value of things of their own, there was an appraiser on hand, and the Battle of the Curious was enjoyed by all. In this, both the artisans in the market and the public could bring in an interesting and unusual artifact from home to compete for the title of most curious. A printing company can create signage for the event that fits into the overall theme of “vintage”, as well as price tags, order Forms, and promotional items that can be mailed out and placed around the city.

The event, which was held in the Westminster Quay Public Market, was family friendly and free for all to attend. Anyone interested in learning more can visit the Curious Flea’s Facebook page.
