The New Westminster Farmer’s Market will be hosting its annual Holiday Market for the fourth time this December, in what is becoming a holiday tradition.
The event is a holiday tradition of the regular Farmer’s Market that runs during the summer, and it will feature over 90 vendors, offering unique handcrafted items that present gift opportunities as well as food to liven up any holiday party. There will also be a food truck area for visitors to sample hot meals and drinks from local cooks, breweries, and more. The market will also include live musical performances from local artists, as well as a few surprise guests, with the market collaborating with Music Box to put together a strong lineup.
The event will also include a booth from the Fraser River Discovery Centre featuring hands-on activities for kids. Admission to the market will be by donation, with at least $5 recommended. The donations will be split between the market’s educational and cultural programming that runs throughout the year and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
Marketplaces are common around this time of year to cater to holiday shoppers, often using methods such as flyer printing and social media for marketing.
The New West Farmer’s Market Holiday Market will take place during the days of December 9 and 10 in front of City Hall.
