New West to get uncorked this April

An upcoming New Westminster event will give attendees the chance to sample the best of wine and food from across the province.

The event, called BC Uncorked, will see over 75 wineries and 14 restaurants come together to offer a taste of their best wares. Visitors will be able to walk around the venue and take samples ranging from hours d’ouevres to small desserts and, of course, plenty of vino.

The best of British Columbia’s wine country will be represented by establishments like the 8th Generation Vineyard, Gray Monk Estate Winery, and Okanagan Crush Pad Winery. Food will also be on hand from restaurants like Atlas Steak and Fish, Habibi’s Mediterranean Foods and Olive the Best. More exhibitors will be announced in the lead-up to the event.

BC Uncorked has been a fixture in the Vancouver-area food scene for the past 13 years, getting bigger over the course of its run. Proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. Businesses at events like this often exchange Business Cards to pass on contact details to interested parties. Attendees are encouraged to dress in casual or business casual attire as they walk through the various tasting rooms.

The 2020 edition of BC Uncorked will take place on the evening of April 4 at the Avil Centre in New Westminster.

It is advised to check with the organizers and venue whether this event is still taking place.
