The Take a Swing Golf Tournament: Business Helping Kids is taking place next month. It will be hosted by the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce and is a fundraiser for the CKNW Kid’s Fund.
The tournament will be hosted by Chris Gailus and Lynda Steele of Global News. Registration fees are $350 per person or $1,400 for a foursome. Fees include 18 holes of golf, the use of a golf cart, lunch and dinner.
As with most golf tournaments it is likely there will be some on-course competitions such as closest to the pin and hole in one.
This will be an excellent networking opportunity for businesspersons from New Westminster. There will be plenty of chances to discuss business and to exchange Business Cards during golf play, at lunch and during dinner. No doubt the majority of those attending will be bringing their Business Cards with them to exchange with their peers.
The CKNW Kid’s Fund hands out grants to organizations that help children who are living with physical, mental and social challenges. Funds go towards equipment, programs and tuition, among other things.
The Take a Swing Golf Tournament will be held at the Vancouver Golf Club on September 10 from 1:30 to 9:30 PM. To learn more about this event or about the CKNW Kid’s Fund call 604-527-7781.
