The 9th annual Quayside Boardwalk Festival and Sale will be held in New Westminster next month for one day. Proceeds from this event go to The Group of 5 at the Royal Columbia Hospital in order to purchase equipment for infant and child care.
Local businesses and organizations have until August 7 to sign up to participate in the festival. Fees for residential tables (nonbusiness people who will be selling used items) are $25 for members of the Quayside Community Board and $30 for nonmembers, or $10 less if they bring their own table. For a commercial business, the 10 x 10 space will cost $95 or $150 for those promoting professional services, while a table is $15 more. Not-for-profit organizations from New Westminster will receive space free of charge.
Organizers are also looking for sponsors to provide activities such as a kid zone, pet zone, and musical entertainment. Fees for this cost $300 and up. They are also accepting donations for a raffle.
This event will be a good opportunity for local businesses to make their names known in New Westminster. Many of them might invest in banner printing services to bring more attention to their booths.
