The Tsawwassen Sun Festival is taking place beginning at the end of this month.
There is set to be a wealth of family friendly activities to take part in, including a children's midway, kids’ crafts, a volleyball tournament, and bingo. There will also be a slo-pitch tournament, a pie eating contest, and a marketplace.
Many of the events are being held on August 3, which isBritish Columbia Day. These include a pancake breakfast from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, the Sun Festival Parade, and the 2nd annual Classic Car and Bike Show, which is set to feature more than 200 vehicles.
An antique fair is planned for the last two days of the festival; admission is $4 per person and there will be door prizes.
Other activities over the four-day festival will include performances from Studio West Dance, music, appearances by Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe impersonators, a treasure hunt, and fireworks. For youth, there is a BMX air show and a skateboard contest.
It is likely that a lot of Delta residents will visit the festival for at least one day, so local flyer printing companies may be asked to provide advertising materials.
The Tsawwassen Sun Festival will be held from July 31 until August 3 at Winskill Park and the South Delta Recreation Centre. To get the latest information about this event, visit the official website.
