The event will be a tournament for players of all skill levels to play croquet on the lawns of Kirkland Gardens as part of two-person teams. New players will be able to learn the game from experts in a laid-back environment. The day’s events will also feature refreshments and live musical entertainment. Social tickets will also be available for those who want to support the cause and friends while having a leisurely day in the sun.
Proceeds from the book go towards the Delta Community Foundation, which provides endowments and grants to a variety of causes throughout the city. Event chair Gillian Lowrey has stated that:
“Croquet for Community is the perfect way to enjoy a sunny afternoon while supporting the people and programs that make Delta stronger.”
Ticket purchases will include lunch provided by Zerelli’s Sandwich Shop and access to live and silent auctions, with proceeds further contributing to the Foundation. The community event is also supported by local sponsors and volunteers. Charity events like this one often use banner printing to recognize community contributions.
The 2026 edition of Croquet for Community will take place at the Kirkland House Gardens in Delta on the afternoon of August 20.
