The Tsawwassen Sun Festival will make its return to Delta this August, bringing a variety of summer entertainment to people from throughout the area.
One of the festival’s biggest events is the Rotary Parade, featuring floats and exhibits from local organizations and businesses, which will wind throughout the Tsawwassen neighbourhood. There will also be a “slo-pitch” softball tournament going on throughout the weekend, open to entry for anyone with four different divisions available. Other sporting competitions include skateboarding, pickleball, and co-ed grass volleyball. For more sedentary pleasures, there will be an after-dark movie night, with a title to be announced, and a classic car show.
Throughout the weekend the festival grounds will be bustling with a midway aimed at children and families, including activities such as face painting, carnival games, bouncy castles, and even a pie-eating contest. There will be a marketplace area full of local vendors, including food and drunk stalls. The main stage will feature musical and cultural performers throughout the week, as well as honour a local arts leader.
The 2024 Tsawwassen Neighbourhood will take place at Winskill Park in Delta from August 3 to 5. Parking on site is limited, but will be made available at South Delta Secondary School.
