The Women’s Business and Craft Fair will take place at the North Delta Rec Center on April 1 from 10am - 1pm. Admission is free.
The event is expected to feature over 25 vendors from women-run direct sale businesses such as Tupperware, Avon or Pampered Chef as well as craft businesses. Various vendors will be having draws for prizes throughout the day. There will also be children’s activities to keep them entertained such as face painting.
Such an event is perfect for the woman entrepreneur who is just finding her way in the world of business. They can use this as a way to get experience selling to the public. Also, if they enjoy creating crafts as a hobby this will help them to decide if they could turn their hobby into a paying profession. Depending on the interest this could be a whole new career for some of these women.
Women in business in Delta can also use the event as a way to network with their fellow business peers. Those planning to be a vendor at the fair would be wise to arrange for business card printing so they can pass their contact details onto the other vendors and those who stop by their table; a lot of business can come out of such referral networks. They can also include their business card in with whatever they sell; popping one in the bag along with the merchandise and the receipt.
