Residents of Delta who love their cats and want to make sure they are living in a safe home are being encouraged to register for a new safety workshop set to take place this winter.
Those who sign up to be included in the “Holiday Hazards: Cat Proof Your Home” event will discover how a few simple steps can create an environment that will be safe for felines.
The workshop will discuss hazards that can be found in the home, and the focus will be on those that are most common during the holiday season. The danger of ornaments, tinsel and food, among other dangers, will be shared, and actionable tips will be provided.
There is no fee charged to attend the session, and its run time will be approximately one hour. Anyone who would like to find out more or has questions has been asked to call the organizers.

The Delta Community Animal Shelter will be hosting this feline-friendly learning opportunity on December 5th. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm, and registration is now open for the event.
