The Ladner May Days festival is taking place over three days next month in Delta.
The festival has much to offer people of all ages and interests. There will be a midway with rides and games, a parade and plenty of food and drink available for purchase. The parade, which takes place on Sunday, features the May Queen float. It concludes at Memorial Park where there is a May Pole dance and the May Queen crowning ceremony.
For the children, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and airbrush tattoos. There will also be paddle boats, a tumbling tent and a storyteller.
Musical entertainment will be provided by artists such as Chaos Monkies, Rhythm Rush and GB Roots. In addition, there will be a craft fair, fastball tournaments, community cupcakes to enjoy and a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning hosted by the North Delta Lions Club.
Organizers may invest in pop up Banners from a favorite Delta Stationery printing firm to highlight various parts of the festival.
Ladner May Days will take place at Memorial Park from May 26 to 28. Admission is free. A ride ticket pass is $35 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday; rides on Friday are $2 each.
