Delta classes to aid those living with chronic pain

A free six week long workshop is starting up in Delta this January which will provide actionable advice for those living with chronic pain.

Daily pain is a fact of life for some people, and taking charge of this aspect of their health can be helpful in creating a more positive outcome.

The goal of the ‘Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain’ series of workshops is to teach attendees how they can make simple changes in their lives that can give more control over their health. They will have an opportunity to ask questions and meet others who understand the issues they are living with. Care givers and family members are welcome to attend.

The classes will share tips for dealing with pain, including how it affects sleep. Exercising and mental health will also be on the agenda, and organizers hope that the experience will be fun.

As well as the classroom sessions, the workshop’s planners noted that each learner will receive a companion book that can be helpful for those living with chronic pain. Materials like these can be paired with promotional Pens so that the recipient can easily make notes at events such as this.

This series of workshops is scheduled to kick off on January 17th. The Ladner United Church located at 4960 48th Avenue in Delta will be hosting the event.
