An introduction to the basics of cookie decorating will soon be offered in Delta, and it will give those who are new to the art of crafting custom cookies a chance to get stuck in and learn new skills.
The Southlands Tsawwassen Farmers' Market offers special events all year long, and it will be wrapping up October with its Beginner Halloween Cookie Decorating Class. Tickets for the workshop are $91.86 each, and this amount includes any additional fees and taxes.
The facilitator of the session will guide the participants through decorating techniques, which they will then be able to use in their own home kitchen. Each registrant will make six assorted cookies, and they will all have a Halloween theme. The session will provide an introduction to the wet-on-wet method, and when they head for home, everyone will receive a box so they can easily transport their creations to share or keep all to themselves.
