Try Events will be hosting its annual Boundary Bay Marathon this November, inviting runners to test themselves around one of Delta’s biggest natural landmarks.
The event will take place on a flat gravel route along the bay, which is advertised for its scenic nature. Participants can sign up for a 5 or 10-kilometre distance, run a half or full marathon, or take part in a four-person relay race. Runners can pick up a race package including race bibs, caps, finishers’ medals, and other keepsakes for the run. Races and other athletic events like this often offer unique Promotional Products or mementos to help remember the event and promote future editions of the race. This will be the 13th annual Boundary Bay race.
Racers will begin in waves and have their times tracked through electronic tags. The top finishers in each category will receive medals. Funds raised through the race will go towards Ronald McDonald House Charities of British Columbia & Yukon, providing housing and support for children experiencing serious illness. There will be washrooms and water stations along the route, and participants are encouraged to dress warmly for the oceanside weather.
The 2024 Boundary Bay Marathon will take place at Boundary Bay Regional Park in Delta on the morning of November 3. The race route is subject to change due to the Mud Bay Nature-based Foreshore Enhancements project.
