Womens Day event set to educate local business leaders

The 4th annual International Women’s Day event is taking place next month in Coquitlam.

A presentation of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, the theme of this year’s event is “#PressForProgress” and it is open to both male and female business leaders. The day will be hosted by Karen Daniels from 93-7 JRFM.

The day will start off with a cocktail reception where those attending will have the opportunity to network with their local business peers. This will be followed by a keynote address from award-winning host Fiona Forbes.

Later on, attendees will have the opportunity to choose between three breakout sessions hosted by business leaders Sandra Holt, Sue Clement, and Kindi Dulai-Gill. Topics of discussion will include emotional health and how to think like a CEO.

No doubt there will be plenty of opportunity during the day at for both Chamber members and non-members to exchange premium Business Cards with one another, and to briefly discuss their own businesses.

The International Women’s Day event will be held at the Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club on March 8 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Tickets are $55 for Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce members and $70 for non-members, or tables for eight are also available.
