The Business Showcase, presented by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, is taking place next month in Coquitlam.
Held in recognition of National Small Business Week, the event will feature a number of local businesses that will be highlighting their products and services. Organizations such as the Better Business Bureau of Mainland BC and Douglas College will also be on hand to provide information about their programs and services. The first 400 people through the door will also receive a swag bag filled with samples and information.
There will also be a number of educational seminars on topics such as Microsoft Outlook, accounting and taxes, setting personal business goals, and available opportunities and challenges for small businesses. Among the speakers will be Mary Vellani of TD Canada and Michael McGlenen from SD43 Continuing Education.
This will be an opportunity for local business leaders to make themselves better known in the community and to make professional connections with their peers. To this end, it is likely that the majority of those attending will be bringing their luxury Business Cards.
The Business Showcase will be held at the Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Center on October 17 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for Chamber members until October 10 or $15 after.
