The Crossroads Hospice Society, located in Port Coquitlam, is holding several fundraising events next month.
The first will be the weekly meat draw held at the Arms Pub. The draw takes place every Friday in June from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. Volunteers are always welcome. To learn more, call 604-945-0606.
The next event will be a Crossroads Shredding Event at the Coquitlam Centre on June 4 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Individuals or businesses will be able to have their personal papers shredded for the price of a donation to the Crossroads Hospice Society.
Finally, the Bucket List Festival will help families plan for the future. It is set to feature a number of speakers such as Dr. Charlie Chen and Susan Borax, who will be talking about subjects such as an advanced care plan and downsizing. There will also be a panel about wills and estates. The festival will be held at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster on June 11 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
