Those looking to beat the heat in the Coquitlam area this summer will have a new option with the opening of a pool in Port Coquitlam’s Fremont Village.
The new facility aims to address a shortage of swimming pools and programs in the Metro Vancouver area, including Coquitlam and the other “Tri Cities”. The Fremont Village pool is run by the Pedalheads Swim company, part of a larger recreational business, which specializes in children’s instructional programs for ages ranging from four months to twelve years old. The company advertises small class sizes, expert instructors, and lessons with varying levels of privacy. Programs like this often use brochure printing and online advertising to help advertise their benefits to parents and prospective students.
Pedalheads Swim will be offering “open house” trial lessons on a donation basis the weekend before lessons officially kick off. Money raised will go towards the Pedalheads+ program, which provides free swim camps, equipment and lessons to underserved children. The facility will also be hosting an official opening party, with games, music and refreshments to celebrate the new pool and welcome the community in.
The Pedalheads Swim pool in Fremont Village, Port Coquitlam opened its doors on March 10. The Open Houses and grand opening will be hosted on April 18 and 19, with lessons beginning on the April 22.
