The Coquitlam Christmas Craft Fair, one of the city’s longest-running holiday traditions, will be returning for its 43rd annual edition this December.
The three-day event will feature vendors from across the Metro Vancouver area and beyond, providing a variety of potential gift items, holiday food, decorations and other products. The line-up will include over 100 vendors in total. Last year’s edition featured vendors such as Anna Kishida Art & Ceramics, Christmas Wreaths by Leigh, Eastern European Folk Art, and Gabi 7 Jules Baked Goodness. The festival is currently ran by Tabitha McLoughlin and Julia Zado, who are also involved with the Coquitlam Farmers Market Society and aim to bring together local residents with artists and artisans.
The Craft Fair regularly sees over 7000 visitors from across the lower mainland, with the event being a holiday tradition for many. The event supports itself through local sponsors and ticket sales for guaranteed spots in line. Last year’s edition also featured free reusable Bags from the Austin Heights BIA for guests who arrive early. Marketplaces like this often use methods like banner printing and live music to add a sense of occasion and holiday cheer, and are a popular destination for unique hand-crafted gifts and food.
The 2024 Coquitlam Christmas Craft Fair will take place at Poirier Form from December 6 to 8.
