Mackin House, which is a recreation of an early 1900s home, is holding two events early next month that celebrate the Christmas holiday. Both events are hosted by the Coquitlam Heritage Society.
The first event will be Brighten Up! Guests will be able to purchase hot cocoa or homemade baking items. Entertainment will be caroling provided by Amy Newman and the Christmas Revelers, who will be dressed in period costume. Guests can also make some festive crafts or enter a drawing for a handmade candle gift set.
Later on in the month, the opening reception will be held for the “Rising Hemlines: an exploration of 1920s fashion” exhibit currently on show at the house; it will be open until March 3, 2018. The Fashionable Christmas Cocktails Reception will be a 1920s soiree. There will be live music, served canapés and beer, with 1920s cocktails also available for purchase.
To advertise these Christmas events, organizers might invest in Flyers or Posters from a Coquitlam Print company.
Brighten Up! will be held on December 3 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at Mackin House. Guests can donate what they wish.
The Fashionable Christmas Cocktails Reception will take place on December 9 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM, also at Mackin House.
